Princess Pine is a boutique landscape design studio located in Harrisville, NH, serving a regional client base. Our work includes small to large scale residential projects, focusing on site-responsive landscape design, critically concerned with cultural and ecological systems. We create beautiful places in dialogue and collaboration with our clients and the surrounding flora, fauna and environment. Our practice prioritizes ecological diversity as well as local materials and craftsmanship. The studio is known regionally for designing, installing and maintaining intimate gardens, naturalized meadows, woodlands, robust shrublands and wetlands.
We are hiring a landscape designer or landscape architect to join our small team as a subcontractor, on a part time/project-based basis.
Nov 1, 2025, start date with a two week paid trial period. Hourly pay commensurate with experience ($30-55); remote or hybrid.
Preferred Experience
3-5 Years working in a landscape architecture practice
Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program (BLA or MLA)
Residential design experience
Preparation of drawing packages as part of a team or individually
Required Skills
Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD
Thorough knowledge of Rhino3D
Thorough knowledge of Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Thorough knowledge of Google Workspace (googlesheets, googledocs, etc.) for project management
Knowledge of Arch GIS (preferred but not required)
Thorough knowledge and ability to execute site and fine grading schemes
Strong communication skills: written and verbal (emails, phone calls, remote meetings, in person meetings, etc.)
Time management skills: excellent organization and workflow management, ability to meet hard external and internal project deadlines
Role & Responsibilities
Designer for small to medium scale residential projects in rural New England
Preparation of drawings sets (concept through construction)
Preparation of client presentations (illustrative plans, sections, perspectives, diagrams, material palettes, plant palettes, etc.)
3D modeling
Project management - setting up systems to support project management responsibilities and tracking
Coordination with contractors, architects and subcontractors
Candidate should be
Self-directed with ability to work independently for days at a time, if needed
Interested in residential design in rural NE
Okay working with a very small team
Willing and able to navigate challenging design problems independently
Interest in learning more about plant material of the region
Have their own hardware, software and general liability insurance
